A series of twenty portraits of contemporary female writers by BP Portrait Award-winning artist, Susanne du Toit.
Following her recent commission by the National Portrait Gallery to paint the writer Jeanette Winterson for their collection, artist Susanne du Toit is delighted to be exhibiting a selection of her further portraits of female authors, in Farleys Gallery.
This exhibition is a record and celebration, among other things, of female collaboration: painting these women in her own vibrant and intuitive way, Susanne expresses the zeitgeist, bringing to the canvas individual personalities that may otherwise remain a mystery to the readers of each author’s works.
