FARLEYS ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

As an archive, historic house and gallery, caring and protecting an art collection, and the environment in which it is housed, in order to be able to share it with others and future generations is at the core of all we do.

These same principles of care apply to the planet and we are committed to protecting the environment by monitoring and assessing our impact and committing to making changes in our practices.

Reduce – Reuse – Recycle

Environmental Policy

In the last few years, we have made a number of positive changes to lessen our impact on the environment and pledge to continue doing so in the future.

SO FAR  

  • Installed Solar panels to produce energy.
  • Implemented a comprehensive recycling policy.
  • Pledged to source and use more sustainable products in every area of the business.
  • Committed to managing the garden organically.
  • Installed a bike rack and have a puncture repair kit and tyre pump available for cyclists
  • Now hosting a pod POINT electric car charger on site.

THE FUTURE

  • We are developing projects to offset the carbon footprint of our business.
  • Use water from a new enlarged well and captured rain water for garden use.
  • Continue to meet monthly to monitor and assess progress.
