Looking Beyond

About this exhibition

By mending, meshing, and tethering discarded fabric, broken shells, and worn threads, Nathalie invites the viewer to consider ideas relating to deterioration and renewal – both in the natural landscape and the human form.

Delicate offcuts, fabric decoupage, and embroidered webs are layered with tangled wire, broken nets, and ripped silks to encourage a conceptual dialogue between the dichotomies of perfect and imperfect – whatever these mean.

The result is a flight of whimsy and non-judgmental joy, a playful exchange of old and new, where fragments, debris, and weathered materials combine and flow to become a force for change and re-evaluation.

Nathalie lives and works in East Sussex, where she regularly exhibits. Over the past few years, her work has been shown in London, Rome, and Portugal.
