FILM SCREENING: ‘Seeing Daylight: The Photography of Dorothy Bohm’

Experience an intimate cinematic portrait of a remarkable life with a special screening of Seeing Daylight: The Photography of Dorothy Bohm at Farleys House & Gallery. Directed by Richard Shaw, the film traces Bohm’s extraordinary journey; from her escape from Nazi Europe to her lifelong dedication to capturing humanity with sensitivity and grace.
Following the screening, join Monica Bohm-Duchen (art historian and daughter of Dorothy Bohm) and Antony Penrose for an engaging in-conversation and audience Q&A. Together they will reflect on Bohm’s legacy, the stories behind her images, her connections to Lee Miller and Roland Penrose, and her lasting influence on photographic history.
Presented to coincide with the Dorothy Bohm: About Women exhibition, held at Farleys in the Lee Miller Gallery (2 April – 26 July 2026) this special event offers a rare chance to connect more deeply with the artist behind the lens.
Enhance your experience by taking home a Dorothy Bohm book, available for collection on the evening, with a book + ticket bundle.
