Chance & Charcoal workshop Sun 27 Sep & Thur 8 Oct 2020


Groups are limited to 5 participants. 

Please arrive a few minutes before your class and check in at Farleys Gallery.
These are beginners sketching classes, no experience neccessary. The classes run for 2 hours from 1pm-3pm & are meant to be fun, creative & inspire your imagination.

Willow charcoal & fixative spray will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own.

You will need to bring your own:  Large cartridge sketchpad (A4 minimum) erasers, face mask, wet wipes (charcoal is messy!)

Optional things you might like to bring: Stool, chair, cushion or blanket, umbrella

With Peta Taylor, a highly experienced gallery instructor and landscape artist, learn willow charcoal techniques in Farleys Garden.

Taking inspiration from Lee Miller’s surreal black and white photography, and working with the rich variety of Farleys garden sculptures, Peta will help you to create the best surreal images from what can be a challenging medium.

Be prepared, with charcoal and paper in hand, to embrace visual risk and invite the happy artistic accident!
